Some Weekend Work

Greetings Grade 8 Students. The next unit we will be doing will prepare us for algebra! Think back to grade 7 and all those rules about adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing positive and negative numbers. Do you remember what they were?

Your job in this weekend post is to show examples of integers at work

Are there any links out there in cyberspace that will help us as we learn integers?

Spend a few minutes refreshing your memory about integers and comment to other people’s posts.

Title your posts My Memories of Integers

Try these games to refresh your brains. Integer Games

or Cyerchase the best math cartoon ever created. Cyberchase

Comments and posts are always welcome.

adding intergers
adding the same sign the answer is the same sign

adding opposite signs
the number that is larger use that sign

subtracting integers
if your subtracting negetive integers you convert one of the numbers to its opposite

multiplying
multiplying positive integers the answer is always positive

if the sings are different the answer is negetive

ok wow...
